A Surprising Weekend in Michigan!

Of course, I shouldn't be too surprised that I had a wonderful weekend sharing in Michigan - I should never be too surprised at God's blessing in my life! But it's so much fun when there are a few fun surprises along the way! On my way up to MI, I stopped to see my missionary friends Josh and Rachelle (Blake) Neal, who were just married a couple months ago. They are currently raising support to begin the new Wesleyan work in Macedonia. It was great to spend time and catch up with them.

From there, I visited my cousin, Rich Wollan, and his family and shared in his church, Gateway Community, in Clarksville, MI. It was great to be with them and play with their kids, Adelyn and Josiah!

Then, my first surprise came...my friend and roommate from the Czech Republic came to Gateway Community as I shared. It was exciting to hang out with him since we hadn't seen each other since being overseas! Fun!

Then, I drove a short distance to Friendship Wesleyan in Plainwell, MI. They certainly lived up to their name! I'll say it again...I'm just so lucky to be able to visit so many different parts of the body of Christ all over country - and world - and see God's people working together and loving one another! The prayer and financial support that both these churches gave was also a great blessing!

On the way back, I was able to swing down and visit my college roommate and great friend, Andy, in Jackson, MI. Even though it was just for a couple hours, we had a great time catching up over omelettes and coffee. I am really thankful for his friendship!
